Follow Physician orders and communicate accurate assessment data to maintain quality of care Record a patient’s medical history accurately Monitor/document patients’ change of condition, notify Physician and supervisor Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Provide monitoring/training of staff to maintain quality of care for ALL residents Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions AND…… Nurses get to utilize many different clinical skills because we service geriatric patients who have needs of wound care, infection control management, IV’s, wound vacs, gastrostomy tubes, medication management, and more!
