About The Position

Saint Therese - IHM Senior Living is looking for Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team in Monroe, Michigan ! We provide a home for seniors who want to live in a place that has the full continuum of care - meaning residents can move into independent living and then as their care needs evolve, they can move to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or stay in our short- term rehab center. We are a five-star facility licensed by Medicare and Medicaid and staffed by people who have the experience and passion to provide exceptional care. Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday: Part-Time: 6:00pm - 10:30pm (28 hours per two week pay period) Seven 4 hour shifts per two week pay period Par-Time: 6:00pm - 10:30pm (36 hours per two week pay period) Nine 4 hour shifts per two week pay period Seven 4 hour shifts per two week pay period Nine 4 hour shifts per two week pay period

Requirements

  • Degree obtained from an accredited nursing program.
  • Must be in good standing with the Michigan Board of Nursing and have a current MI RN license.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.
  • CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one-year previous experience as a nurse preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven history of good judgement and integrity
  • High level of commitment to compassionate customer service

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct care to residents under individual plans of care, administering care and medications per doctor's orders.
  • Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
  • Document resident care using charting software.
  • Notify Nurse Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action, as necessary.
  • Work to coordinate, oversee, and provide guidance to CENAs
  • Display a positive attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
