About The Position

RN for GI: Bethany Medical is a Multi-Specialty provider practice located in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Jamestown, North Wilkesboro and Mount Airy, North Carolina. The RN will work in our brand-new, state of the art Endoscopy Unit in High Point. They will work closely with our GI Provider and fellow staff members to provide quality patient care and satisfaction in our Pre and Post Op-Procedure areas. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the state of North Carolina with at least one year of nursing experience.
• Must be certified in both BCLS
• Customer service and detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to establish and maintain a working relationship with Provider, management, staff, and patients.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS is preferred
• 2-year RN with Associate's Degree Preferred.
• Experience with Allscripts a Plus!

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing actions consistent with established policies and procedures when providing direct/indirect patient care.
• Monitor patient BP, pulse, respiration's and SaO2%.
• Start IVs.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered by physician.
• Maintain open airway and administer O2 as ordered.
• Obtain EKGs.
• Input data into EMR
• Give post-procedure instructions to patient and family, including medication and diet education.
• Patient assessment prior to discharge
