Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise LVNs and CNAs
  • Provide direct nursing care by initiating and implementing treatment plans
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Prepare and manage IV therapy, draw blood, and administer injections
  • Monitor residents’ conditions using sound clinical judgment to ensure optimal care
  • Admit and discharge residents as needed
  • Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain ongoing communication with residents’ families regarding care and condition updates
