Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise LVNs and CNAs
- Provide direct nursing care by initiating and implementing treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Prepare and manage IV therapy, draw blood, and administer injections
- Monitor residents’ conditions using sound clinical judgment to ensure optimal care
- Admit and discharge residents as needed
- Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain ongoing communication with residents’ families regarding care and condition updates
