Registered Nurse – ED - Part-Time 7a - 7p at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location\: Texas Health Arlington\: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012 Work hours\: Part-Time (24 Hours a week) Day Shift from 7a-7p - 2/12 hour shifts per week Department highlights: 50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area that is called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment). Level 3 trauma center Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs. Magnet facility

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - within 90 days of hire
  • TNCC - within 12 months of hire
  • ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse – within 12 months of hire
  • 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA Tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
  • Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
  • Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).
