Requirements

  • Valid state, multi-state or compact RN license in good standing. Must have current CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
  • Administers direct care as necessary.
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients.
  • Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
  • Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
  • Responds to resident emergency call system.
  • Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
  • Shares on-call duties with designated staff.
