About The Position

RN to PreOp and Recover MRI/ Litho/ ECT/ Procedure patients. Previous PACU, ICU, ER or Critical Care experience strongly preferred for this role. Our 10-bed unit provides both pre-procedural and post-procedural care for patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures. These include electroconvulsive therapy, electric cardioversion, lithotripsy, minor vascular, and other urology procedures. Primary job responsibilities include completion of pre-procedural checklist, verification of consent, close physiological monitoring, management of anesthesia side effects, administration of medications, completion of accurate documentation, patient and family education, adherence to established policies and standards, and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. An ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous PACU, ICU or ER nursing experience strongly preferred
