The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Unit Manager.We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. Our RN's are responsible for following the resident plan of care to include administering medications/treatments and keeping detailed documentation in accordance with Rockingham County policies and State/Federal requirements. Further, they transcribe and carry out medical orders, assess and identify any change in resident status, and, as part of our team-oriented environment, keep open communication with the Unit Manager/Nursing Supervisors regarding significant issues; i.e. change in resident's condition, environment, personnel, or safety concerns.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing and possess a valid New Hampshire RN License.
  • Must possess qualities of leadership and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • Must possess ability to work harmoniously with others and delegate authority wisely.

Responsibilities

  • Provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Unit Manager.
  • Administering medications/treatments and keeping detailed documentation in accordance with Rockingham County policies and State/Federal requirements.
