Benefits $5,000 sign-on bonus (full-time) Medical and dental insurance 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability Paid time off (PTO) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) Shift differentials and special call-in incentives On-site specialty training (Gerontology, Dementia Care, Rehabilitation) Tuition reimbursement for continued professional development Requirements Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license (required) Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred 1+ year nursing experience preferred (acute care or long-term care) New RN graduates welcome with strong clinical foundation Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical assessments, and medication administration Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility (SNF) Perform comprehensive resident assessments and ongoing clinical monitoring Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (EMR) Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Support geriatric care, dementia care, and rehabilitation services About The Cedars The Cedars is an award-winning retirement community and skilled nursing facility in Portland, Maine. Requirements
- Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred
- 1+ year nursing experience preferred (acute care or long-term care)
- New RN graduates welcome with strong clinical foundation
- Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical assessments, and medication administration
