About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Weight Management Clinic is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered nursing care within a multidisciplinary surgical setting. Key responsibilities include initiating peripheral intravenous (IV) access for in‑clinic procedures, conducting clinical triage of patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating prior authorizations for diagnostic studies and surgical interventions. The RN also assists with pre‑operative and post‑operative patient flow by preparing and rooming patients for the surgeon. This role requires strong clinical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting patients throughout the bariatric and weight‑management care continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
  • Current certification in BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ambulatory experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
