Sign on bonus of $7,500 (Nights) for experienced RNs New Gard RNs welcome Higher Pay Scales Flexible Schedule to live the life you deserve Referral Bonus programs Paid Time Off Excellent Health Benefits Unlimited Tuition Reimbursement through Guild Education (only an 18 month commitment) SHIFT/SCHEDULE Full Time 36 Hours, Day/Night rotation Shifts: 7:00pm-7:30am and 7:00am-7:30 pm shifts every other weekend PICU is a 28-bed high acuity step-down unit featuring 6 private and 11 semi-private rooms. We care for a wide array of patients; renal, surgical and trauma, with a strong focus on those with pulmonary issues as we are the only unit outside of the ICU’s that care for patients with trachs and ventilators. Due to this higher acuity we strive to have a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. PICU staff have been nominated for many Daisy Awards as well as yearly recipients of the “Nightingale Award”. Our team is made up of a wide variety of nurses from new grads to the most senior with 38 years of experience. Clinical instructors from the area colleges love to be assigned to PIC for their clinicals due to the amazing experience students get. We have 28 specialty “Hercules” beds that reposition patients with the touch of a button and saves our backs! Please come for a tour, we would love to have you join our team!! Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care (Step down) – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital: Job Summary: The Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by: Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status Acting as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU units Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)
1 year of RN experience (required)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
