The primary responsibility of a Registered Nurse is to implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards, provide direct nursing care to the residents, and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the CNA’s. This role involves completing required recordkeeping during resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, coordinating with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services and ensure comprehensive patient care. The Registered Nurse will also prepare and administer medications, review patient care plans, and develop and interpret programs and policies for quality patient care. Additionally, the position requires providing guidance and leadership to nursing personnel, making daily rounds, fostering rapport with staff, patients, and families, charting nurses’ notes, participating in facility surveys, and maintaining confidentiality of resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
