About The Position

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehab department at our University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Schedule: This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks) on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). This position is 12 hours and will work an every third weekend rotation. About our Rehab department at the University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank: Serves multiple diagnoses including neuro, ortho, oncology, amputee, spinal cord injury, transplant, etc. Primarily adults, however, see adolescents ages 13+. All core staff are required to pursue a rehab specialty, including geriatrics, neurology, lymphedema, swallow, NDT, etc. This supports a robust learning environment for newer clinicians, students, and lifelong learners. Approximately 50 therapy and tech staff at the 2 post-acute units Highly coordinated between all fields along with MD/Physiatrist, rehab nursing, social work, dietary, etc., with the primary goal to get patients home. 30 beds of Inpatient Rehab. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Requirements

Current Minnesota RN License.
Completion of Rehab Nursing Certification within 24 months of hire.
BLS (basic life support)

Nice To Haves

1+ years of RN experience.
Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting and/or 1-year rehab nursing experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
