About The Position

Registered Nurses provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
• Active, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or compact state).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.

• Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply for residency programs.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Perform detailed, timely assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Administration: Administer medications, treatments, and perform diagnostic tests.
• Patient/Family Education: Provide education regarding illnesses, treatments, and preventative health measures.
• Advocacy & Support: Offer emotional support, act as a patient advocate, and ensure compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely medical records.
