About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Location: Lakeway, TX Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Sign On Bonus: $15,000 Full Time Hours: Days 7a - 7p Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. Starting salary: $32 - $48 per hour Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends Join our specialized rehabilitation unit, where you'll care for patients with complex medical needs—similar to a neuro or med-surg unit. You’ll be part of a highly experienced team of tenured RNs who are passionate about delivering exceptional care. You’ll have the daily support of Nursing Assistants and a dedicated Nursing Supervisor. Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certified BLS completion and maintenance required; for new hires, see CPR Requirement Guidelines for New Hires.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred.
  • Previous rehabilitation or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care
  • Serve as a key member of both the nursing and interdisciplinary teams
  • Apply the nursing process—systematically assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care—to help restore and maintain each patient’s physical and psychological health, while supporting their personal goals.
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, and fellow team members, promoting understanding and empowerment throughout the recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with nursing and therapy professionals, physicians, case managers, and a wide range of support staff to meet each patient’s medical, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Help patients achieve their greatest potential and work toward productive, independent lives.
  • Engage with patients and families to help them recover and discover their new normal after a life-altering event.
