About The Position
Atrium Health Levine Cancer’s Radiation Oncology outpatient services provide advanced, patient-centered care using cutting-edge radiation therapy to treat cancer. With 10 sites across the Charlotte market, each clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including linear accelerators and image-guided systems, allowing for precise targeting of cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. A highly skilled team of radiation oncologists, nurses, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists work collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans that minimize side effects and optimize outcomes. Key features include: Advanced Treatment Modalities: IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, brachytherapy, proton beam, and gamma knife therapies. Multidisciplinary Care: Seamless coordination with medical and surgical oncology teams. Patient Comfort & Support: Compassionate care in a welcoming outpatient setting. Clinical Expertise: Board-certified radiation oncologists with subspecialty training. Technology Integration: Real-time imaging and treatment planning systems for accuracy and safety. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses and phlebotomy preferred.
- Oncology certification is preferred.
