About The Position

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio, serving adult patients 18 years and older with mental health and chemical dependency needs. Services include inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management, stabilization, and mental health crisis management, as well as outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. They also offer a Relapse Prevention Program and a Medication Administration Program. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to assigned patients on the In-patient units, ensuring patient safety and treatment adhere to best practices and nursing care standards set by licensing, federal, state, and accreditation bodies. Requirements

  • Associates Degree of Nursing or BSN with an Ohio RN License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Diplomacy and discretion are essential
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Professional demeanor and appearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality nursing care for assigned patients on the In-patient units
  • Assure the safety and treatment of patients
  • Assure care follows best practice and acceptable nursing care standards as defined by licensing bodies not limited to State, Federal and accreditation bodies
  • Complete admissions
  • Complete discharges
  • Perform crisis intervention
  • Manage restraint and/or seclusion situations
  • Respond to codes
  • Manage medication
  • Facilitate groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
