INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: We have outgrown our initial needs and are expanding critical care service lines rapidly. 14-bed General Acute Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Swing-bed unit based on acuity level. Experience with a variety of patients – CRRT, IABP (Balloon Pump), Post Cardiac-Arrest, EVD, post CCL, ARDS, prone therapy, Vasoactive drips, and step-down patients

Requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;
  • Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred .
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support – Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention—within 30 days required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred .
