About The Position
The Pre-Op/PACU Nurse at Premier Surgical Institute will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients during both the pre-operative and post-operative phases of their surgical experience. This role is critical in ensuring that patients receive safe, efficient, and exceptional care throughout their surgical journey. The RN will collaborate closely with the surgical team, including Surgeons and Anesthesia professionals, to prepare patients for surgery and monitor their recovery post-operatively. This includes assessing patients for any complications and ensuring that they are stable before discharge. In addition to pre-operative and post-operative care, the RN will also provide intra-operative nursing care, ensuring that patients are well-supported during their surgical procedures. The role requires a strong understanding of pain management techniques and the administration of conscious sedation when necessary. The RN will act as a patient advocate, ensuring that all patient needs are met and that they are informed and comfortable throughout their surgical experience. This position is PRN, meaning that the RN will fill in on days when scheduled procedures occur, with expected hours ranging from 4 to 8 hours per week. The RN must be flexible with their availability to accommodate the surgical schedule, as hours cannot be guaranteed. The work environment is an outpatient surgical center, and the RN will be expected to work in person at the Loveland, OH location.
