The George Washington University Hospital is a 395-bed academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC. We deliver high-acuity care with strong interdisciplinary collaboration and a culture that values evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. GW's wound care program supports patients across a multidisciplinary limb preservation model—built to reduce amputations and streamline complex care (vascular, plastics, podiatry/ortho, infectious disease, wound experts, and more). Our Wound Care Services leadership is deeply integrated into hospital quality and pressure injury prevention efforts, reflecting a strong outcomes- and standards-driven culture. The Outpatient Wound Care RN provides skilled nursing assessment, treatment support, and patient education for individuals with complex wounds. This role supports clinic flow, assists with procedures and advanced therapies, ensures accurate wound documentation, and reinforces best practices for healing and prevention.
