About The Position

At NMC Health, we're proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare in the Wichita Metro Area. We are currently seeking a Wound Care Nurse PRN to join our outpatient care team. In this role, you'll provide professional nursing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. The primary setting is the Outpatient Wound Care Center, with occasional assistance provided for wound consultations on the Acute floor. As a Wound Care Nurse, you'll work closely with physicians, patients, and families to deliver specialized care that supports healing and comfort, while demonstrating accountability and leadership in the clinical setting.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (Compact License acceptable)
• Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school preferred
• Wound care experience preferred
• Proficient in computer systems and documentation
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong time management and prioritization skills

• Building caring, therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
• Collaborating with providers and care teams for optimal wound treatment planning
• Demonstrating strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills
• Supporting wound care consultations in both outpatient and inpatient settings
