This is a casual, part-time Registered Nurse position within the Women's Health and OB Services department at AMC Manitowoc County. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to enhance care processes and implement evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, actively involving patients and their families throughout their care journey. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. The position emphasizes upholding a culture of safety, continuous evaluation of patient and unit outcomes, and safe administration of medications and therapies according to clinical protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are crucial for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The nurse is expected to pursue professional development, maintain certifications, adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is required. The role may involve floating to other units or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs and requires demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the age-specific needs of patients served.
