About the position

The Registered Nurse will work within an exciting, fast-paced medical/surgical ICU environment that is ideal for those seeking to care for the highest acuity of patients (including craniotomies, total radical necks and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). You will gain experience with ventilators, chest tubes, drips, dialysis, trachs, and much more. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with a great team in this split 34-bed unit to care for the north side's sickest patients. Preparations have begun in the ICU for the opening of a new bone marrow stem cell transplant unit in 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the ICU.
  • Collaborate with a team to manage high acuity patients.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology.
  • Demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and management of resources.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.
  • ICU experience preferred, but other acute care experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Compassionate, caring, accountable, and self-directed.

Nice-to-haves

  • EPIC experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to consider new graduates.
