About The Position

This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and works directly with all members of the health care team in the development, implementation, and outcomes evaluation of a plan of care. This position provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient programs. This position monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. This position provides patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors, behavior modification.

Requirements

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current State RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Nice To Haves

• BSN
• Two or more years recent experience in critical care/cardiac care
• Cardiac rehab experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family health problems
• Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care
• Provide direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation programs
• Monitor patients during exercise sessions
• Provide patient education on disease entities and cardiac risk factors
