About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Vascular Access Full Time - 8-hour Shifts Day/Evening (Hours: 7a-3p & 3p-11p) Every other weekend & every other Holiday Newark & Wilmington, DE ChristianaCare is seeking a full time Registered Nurse for our Vascular Access Nursing (VAN) department. Our team of VAN nurses provide adult PICC and midline placements and ultrasound guided peripheral IVs (USGPIVs) services throughout the hospital, serving both inpatient and outpatient areas. VAN nurses also provide support to the hemodialysis team by accessing and de-accessing HD catheters, and fistulas as well as de-clotting of HD catheters. The nurses will complete all central line dressing changes on inpatient medical floors. Requirements

  • BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire
  • At least two years of Acute Care experience required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

Nice To Haves

  • Previous critical care or procedural area experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide adult PICC and midline placements
