Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Current Massachusetts and Connecticut RN license required so coverage can be provided at Bloomfield location if needed. CPR required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
  • Learning how to do urodynamic testing - must be able to bend and squat for periods of times
  • Flexibility to meet the coverage needs of the department.
  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks

Nice To Haves

  • National certification in area of specialty
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of related clinical and/or hospital experience, or previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively
  • Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients and family members
  • Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork
