About The Position
Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor to join the Behavioral Health team. This role will be full-time night shift 7:00 pm – 7:00 am with a rotating weekend. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified external applicants. With the demand for behavioral health services continuing to grow, IMVH extended our 30-bed behavioral health unit to 50 beds in mid 2023. The new 20-bed unit is designed with the specific needs of this specialized population in mind. Additionally, the current behavioral health unit was also upgraded and modernized. IMVH behavioral health team received the 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience from Press Ganey. This accolade recognizes organizations ranked in the 95th percentile amongst other healthcare facilities across the nation. The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Requirements
- Basic Life Support
- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
