About The Position

RN Training Program CMH offers RN Training Programs for experienced RNs interested in joining a different specialty and for new grad RNs as well! RN Training Programs are offered once or twice a year, and extensively prepare individuals to be highly qualified RNs in their specialty. Please note there is not a scheduled timeline when training programs will be held. RN Training Programs are separate from the Nurse Residency Program. The Nurse Residency Program offers New Graduate RNs the opportunity to train and develop their skills in the following departments: Med Surg/Post Surgical, Oncology, Telemetry. Position Overview: Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital by performing the following duties; effectively plan and communicate patient and family education. Participates in unit based educational activities. Accurate and timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and comprehension.

Requirements

  • Current CA RN License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification (ICU, L&D)
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification within the first 3 months (L&D, NICU)
  • Intermediate or Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) class within 6 months hire (L&D)
  • Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
