About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry for a night-shift contract assignment at a large acute care hospital in the Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience and thrive in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
• 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• 2 years of conscious sedation experience
• Ability to work independently during night shifts in an acute care setting
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification of RN license via NYSED
• AHA BLS Certification (required)
• AHA ACLS Certification (required)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy as needed
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures when applicable
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
