About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a Telemetry / Stroke unit setting. The RN is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians, and delivering high-quality nursing care based on individualized patient needs. This role requires strong clinical judgment, telemetry competency, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active New Jersey RN license or compact license
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Telemetry Certification or successful completion of Telemetry Competency Exam
- Stroke CEU – 4 Contact Hours
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior Stroke Unit experience
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and stroke-related symptoms
- Manage care of telemetry and stroke patients
- Document patient care in accordance with standards of practice and acuity
- Prioritize patient needs based on assessment and clinical condition
- Advocate for evidence-based practice standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
