About The Position

Bon Secours seeks a Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional nursing care to patients. This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, provide care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes. The RN will ensure a safe and therapeutic environment while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
• One year of RN experience (required)
• Six months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS)

Responsibilities

• Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Provide care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses
• Implement clinical nursing interventions
• Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collect vital signs and administer IV medications
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Mercy Health policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
