About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Float Pool Seasonal Days Position Summary: The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing are to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination of the patient’s experience and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs high quality and patient focused care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• For Telemetry and higher acuity units: ACLS (AHA) and Basic EKG interpretation are also required.

Responsibilities

• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities
• Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings & reads communications and acts upon in a positive and informative manner.
• Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time, has participated in one hour of Standards of Conduct training within the last 12 months, maintains confidentiality regarding patient/employee/facility/corporate information 100% of the time, & accepts change as an opportunity for growth, learning and development.
• Assists all patient s, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner, extends special attention and sensitivity to all patients, visitors, physicians and fellow employees, demonstrates respect and cooperation in all staff relationships, and a genuine willingness to prevent or resolve inter-personal conflicts, & shares information on a “need to know” basis.
