The position supports the Trinity Health Ann Arbor (THAA) Surgical and Neuroscience ICU (2 North) a 20-bed unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital. Patients admitted to the SNICU require intensive care monitoring including those patients with hemodynamic instability, compromised respiratory status and frequent neurological monitoring during the post-operative period of hospitalization. The population of patients includes cardiothoracic surgery, trauma, vascular and general surgeries. Additionally, the SNICU treats a wide range of serious neurological conditions, including both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The SNICU has expanded its neuroscience capabilities by acquiring a biplane and thrombectomy certification. This position is a Full-Time, scheduled 36 hour per week, rotating shift: Six weeks on days (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) rotating with six weeks on nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
