About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) located within the Edgewood Hospital. This is a full-time position with scheduled hours of 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The licensed registered nurse is responsible for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical/cultural codes and standards of nursing practices. The role requires working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed to practice in the state where work is being performed.
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies.
• Competent in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
• Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations.
