About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Inpatient - PRN III Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location\: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033 Work hours: PRN Nights (varied hours) as needed weekend and holiday requirements Department highlights: 16-bed Surgical unit – fast paced, quick turnover Experience with tele, surgical preferred - primary surgical unit and take med/surg overflow 1\:4 patient ratio, at times 1\:5

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• BCLS - prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• One year of post - surgical experience strongly preferred
• Experience with tele, surgical preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
