About The Position

ChristianaCare's Christiana and Wilmington hospitals have received their third Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the pre-eminent recognition for hospital systems in the United States! Only 8 percent of the nation's hospitals hold the prestigious Magnet designation. ChristianaCare was first in Delaware to achieve Magnet status in 2010, and is first in the state to attain re-designation, demonstrating sustained excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards! We operate the only Level I Trauma Center between Philadelphia and Baltimore. The Surgical Critical Care Complex (SCCC) is a 22 bed Surgical / Trauma Intensive Care Unit. We have a cohesive Nursing Team who serves patients with a multidisciplinary approach. The Nurses on this unit work with neurosurgical, general surgical and adult/pediatric trauma patients.

Requirements

• BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire
• Must have minimum 1-2 years stepdown
• Critical Care experience strongly preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
