About The Position

MaineHealth's Surgical Oncology Practice is looking for a registered nurse to join their team. Responsibilities for this role will include triaging patients both over the phone and in person. Candidates possessing critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to transition from various tasks thrive in this quick-paced outpatient practice offering a varying day to day experience. Though prior oncology experience is appreciated, additional clinical experience is certainly welcomed. This position is offering a Monday through Friday schedule. The Registered Nurse II - Ambulatory role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
One year of RN experience required.
Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.

Nice To Haves

Two years of relevant experience preferred.
prior oncology experience is appreciated
