About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services at Redlands Community Hospital is responsible for performing professional nursing functions in accordance with established standards and regulations. This per diem position requires the RN to demonstrate knowledge and skills in patient assessment and care, while also leading and guiding other nursing personnel. The role emphasizes the importance of maintaining professional standards and ensuring patient needs are met through a population-based approach.

Requirements

  • Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred upon hire, required within 3 months for experienced RNs, and within 6 months for new grad RNs.
  • Recent appropriate nursing practice within the past 4 years or evidence of nursing refresher courses preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional nursing functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards.
  • Assess and address patient needs using a population-based approach.
  • Lead and guide unlicensed assistive personnel and other nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current nursing theories and principles.
  • Meet all job physical requirements as outlined in the job description.
