Our Perioperative Services Department provides the majority of surgical care for
Cochise County, supporting a wide range of specialties including orthopedics,
general surgery, urology, gynecology, podiatry, spine, vascular, and endoscopy.
We are proud to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the surgical
continuum.

This is a dynamic and rewarding environment that offers meaningful work, strong

excellent patient outcomes.

Perioperative Services is a great place to work, with schedules that are
generally Monday through Friday, consisting of four 10-hour shifts. Some call
coverage is required to support after-hours and urgent patient needs. The pace
can be fast and at times demanding, but it is also highly fulfilling for those
who enjoy hands-on care and being part of a dedicated surgical team.

Requirements

• Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
• Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
• BCLS required.
• On Call Required.
• 30 minute response time.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS, PALS, HAZMAT and Handle with Care certifications are preferred.
• One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• RN provides direct patient care in the Perioperative (OR) Dept using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
