About the position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service, and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Responsibilities

  • Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
  • Administer direct care as necessary.
  • Give and receive shift reports.
  • Round twice a shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident's condition.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
  • Respond to resident emergency call system.
  • Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
  • Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
  • Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
  • At least 1 year experience in geriatric nursing Long Term Care (LTC) a plus.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
