About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor 11-7 Crossover SIGN ON BONUS: $3,000 Position Summary Grandview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor to oversee patients and manage the nursing team of our facility. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a Registered Nurse and can handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude.

Requirements

Registered Nurse with current state license.
A minimum two years of nursing experience in long term care.
Must have a current/active CPR certification.
Knowledge of policy and procedure required by D.P.H. in long term care.
Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.

Responsibilities

Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
Supervise nursing staff assigned and allocate duties to LPNs and nursing assistants, as directed.
Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and the status of residents.
Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
Review charting on a weekly basis for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanics procedures.
Respond to the need for staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff.
Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement.
Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
