We are seeking a full-time RN Supervisor (7P - 7A) to lead our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living/Memory Support teams. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of long-term care nursing experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience. Requirements

  • Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive nursing experience in Assisted Living/Memory Support or Long-Term Care, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory/lead role.
  • Valid Adult CPR and BLS/AED certifications required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all staff and leadership levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public.
  • Genuine interest in working with elderly and/or disabled populations.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks including sitting, standing, walking, stair climbing, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, overhead reaching, pushing/pulling, and grasping.

Nice To Haves

  • ISP/UAI certification preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure accurate, timely resident care, medication administration, and documentation in compliance with all applicable regulations and facility policies.
  • Provide direct resident care as needed, including conducting admissions and discharges. Monitor residents for changes in condition and report to the Physician, Unit Manager, or Director of Nursing.
  • Perform nursing audits, including weekly chart reviews, monthly summaries, and other assigned audits in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living/Memory Support units.
  • Conduct rounds on all care units to ensure adequate staffing per census and state regulations, and ensure staff compliance with Harbor’s Edge policies and state/federal guidelines.
  • Participate in care planning and family meetings as part of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Verify that emergency equipment is functional and respond to emergency calls (E-calls) as assigned.
  • Coordinate nursing services with physicians, Medical Director, residents/families, consultants, and vendors to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and complete all required documentation.
