About The Position

The Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinic is seeking a nurse responsible for the overall day-to-day clinical operations of outpatient care at the DCC. This role serves as a supervisor, clinical resource, role model, and extension of management to support staff and uphold institutional priorities, policies, and practices. The position offers a rigorous, research-focused environment within a nationally recognized Academic Medical Center located in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 2 years of experience required.
  • Clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in a specialty preferred.
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (CHIC) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates and assists with clinic operations by functioning as the first line supervisor to staff.
  • Acts as a resource to staff to provide direct assistance or connect with appropriate resources.
  • Models, monitors, and enforces compliance with organizational and oncology-based policies and procedures.
  • Participates in performance management of staff members, including coaching and preparation of performance evaluations.
  • Addresses conflicts as they arise and assists/mediates to maintain smooth operations of the unit.
  • Works with staff to facilitate patient flow and optimize clinical capacity.
  • Plans and organizes assignments that foster smooth operations of the clinics and safe patient care.
  • Responds to staff and patient/family needs.
  • Participates in institutional and NCCC Quality and Patient Safety improvement initiatives, committees, and projects.
  • Performs all duties of an oncology nurse by functioning as an expert clinician providing direct patient care to oncology patients.
  • Develops, plans, coordinates, implements, supervises, and evaluates oncology nursing orientation.
  • Maintains nursing best practices.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
