Requirements

  • Current and CA state Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate preferred.
  • Six months experience in an acute care hospital or in a long term care/subacute setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within his/her scope of practice within the Subacute setting.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in the Subacute Unit.
  • The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
  • He/she communicates with physicians, the Director of Nursing, Charge RN, and/or co-workers about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac and respiratory monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance and organization.
  • Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
  • Participates actively in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
  • Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

  • The current compensation range for this role is $48.58 to $65.31.
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
