About The Position

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown - (Nights) Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI. Contract Details Nights,7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12; 36 hour guarantee Start Date: 4/13/2026 Contract: 13 weeks Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend On Call Requirements: Possible Location: Petoskey, MI Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours Travel Policy: Anyone with a permanent address within a 35 mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler. a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024. The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) which cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually; procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers. Approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) are discharged from this unit. The CVU also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies. Our NISUS research department manages many national clinical trials using CVU.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Stepdown experience is required
  • Proficiency in Cardiac is required
  • Travel is required
  • EKG comfortability is required
  • Must be willing to float to similar units is required
  • Health system-wide profile standards
  • BLS (AHA) is required
  • ACLS is required
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document accurately and comply with facility policies and protocols
  • Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
  • Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate.
  • Directs support staff in the provision of care.
  • Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
