Due to this higher acuity we strive to have a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. PICU staff have been nominated for many Daisy Awards as well as yearly recipients of the “Nightingale Award”. Our team is made up of a wide variety of nurses from new grads to the most senior with 38 years of experience. Clinical instructors from the area colleges love to be assigned to PIC for their clinicals due to the amazing experience students get.
