About The Position

Cardiac/Medical/Surgical Step Down / 4 South Registered Nurse (RN) ############ ############## $10,000 Sign On Bonus! Welcome Home to Baxter Health#s 31-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit, we are a family of highly-skilled caregivers, who provide optimal care to a diverse patient population.# Our patient#s conditions range from low acuity to critically ill.# We work together to treat individuals with cardiac acuities such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and myocardial infarction.# Our patient population also includes those with respiratory emergencies requiring Bi-PAP, aggressive pulmonary physiotherapy, and high-level monitoring.# In addition, we also interface with patients facing a multitude of acute and chronic disease processes.# The 4 South Step Down Team is excited and ready to welcome you to our family! Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • ADN required.
  • BSN Preferred.
  • Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
  • BLS & ACLS required.
  • PALS is encouraged, but not required.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
  • PALS is encouraged, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and providing leadership within the nursing team.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
  • Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
