Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing. (ADN) Required
- Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with South Carolina Board of Nursing. Required
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. (BSN) Preferred
- Master's Degree in Nursing. (MSN) Preferred
- Previous experience in an acute care critical care setting. Preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assesses, utilizing age specific data, the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status in a comprehensive manner.
- Performs initial and ongoing assessment including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention.
- Completes required documentation within organizational standards.
- Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
