About The Position

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Special Care Nursery / NICU for a 13-week night shift contract. The RN will deliver specialized, patient-centered care to neonatal and special care nursery patients in a high-acuity clinical environment.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Special Care Nursery and/or NICU
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced neonatal care environment

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for neonatal patients
• Assist physicians with patient evaluation and treatment plans
• Perform ongoing assessments based on patient condition, diagnosis, and care needs
• Deliver therapeutic nursing interventions in accordance with clinical standards
• Manage and coordinate care for assigned patients throughout the shift
• Document patient care accurately based on acuity, priorities, and standards of practice
• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide family-centered, compassionate care aligned with professional nursing practice models
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations
