As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Clinical Education Services (CES) Department is a dynamic, high-performing department comprised of Service Line Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Mentors, Program Coordinators, Wound/Ostomy Nurses, and Data Analyst. CES supports clinical staff through delivery of education and training aimed at meeting the professional learning needs of nursing teammates. This team evaluates and implements evidence-based practice to improve outcomes, delivers education about new policies, procedures, equipment, etc., coordinates a variety of programs such as Nursing Excellence and the Pathway to Excellence designation, Geriatrics, Sepsis, Life Support, and Wound Care, provides at the elbow support when clinical questions or issues arise, supports nurses in achieving advanced degrees and specialty certifications, provides facility-based orientation, coordinates student groups needing clinical and practicum rotations, supports the facility during regulatory surveys, and frequently collaborates with many other departments to achieve goals and improve outcomes. Wound/ostomy nurses support the nursing staff and patients through care coordination with providers. The CES Department is an integral part of the facility’s day to day operations and performance improvement work. Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we provide comprehensive emergency services and a wide range of specialty medical care.
